Corporate employees communicationg by bumping fists over desk with computers

Have you noticed the paradigm shift happening in the corporate communications industry? You’re not alone! Toni Bowers from IT Business Edge took a moment to express her thoughts on this communications shift and how to keep employees informed and engaged using theEMPLOYEEapp.

Bowers hit the nail on the head.  There is a major transformation underway regarding how companies communicate not only with their employees but also how they communicate with other important audiences.  Mobile has altered the way we need to think about content distribution and communications.  The use of the Internet can no longer be thought about from the limited perspective of the desktop computer. We need to think about the Internet in a different way. And it’s about how to make content easily and conveniently accessible in a 2 1/2” x 4” mobile screen.  Toni correctly points out that theEMPLOYEEapp is “disrupting the decades-old, multi-billion dollar intranet industry and are helping those charged with communicating and getting information into employees’ hands.”

When you consider the growth and role that Millennials now play in the workplace and their dependence on their personal mobile devices, you realize that employers have no choice but to change the way they make information and content available to their most important constituency.

Employee engagement and distribution of information are important topics that need to be addressed in the corporate communications industry, especially as mobile technology continues to evolve.  Get ahead of the discussion and look for new ways to communicate using mobile strategies.
