The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the nation’s largest professional group for public relations and communication professionals, today announced the launch of its new PRSA Member App. The PRSA Member App will utilize theEMPLOYEEapp® technology platform developed by APPrise Mobile and is only available to PRSA Members.
Through the app, for the first time, PRSA members will have convenient access to the latest edition of Issues and Trends, top-rated webinars, Association web portals, exclusive content and more on their preferred mobile device. In the coming months, discounts and other member perks will also be made available through the app.
“The PRSA Member App is part of our mobile strategy and one of the key elements in our overall approach to provide members with easier access to our benefits, content and the ability to engage wherever and whenever it is most convenient for them,” said Joseph Truncale, CEO of PRSA.
“Today we are living in a mobile-first world. A few years ago, PRSA introduced its Ethics App to rave review by the members, and now we are building on what we have learned to provide even more value,” said Mark W. McClennan, APR, 2016 PRSA National Chair of PRSA. “Increasing our mobile focus will open up more opportunities for our members to engage with us in the future and get the information they need, when they need it, in whatever form they prefer.”
Jeff Corbin, CEO and Founder of APPrise Mobile, said, “By using our technology platform, the PRSA has recognized the importance of rethinking how content is distributed and consumed. In trying to get information into the hands of an organization’s targeted audiences, we can no longer just think about how the content appears in print or on desktop computers. Given the dependence which people now place on their Apple and Android devices, our mission at APPrise Mobile is to develop solutions that allow professionals in our industry to easily, cost effectively and successfully communicate with their internal and external audiences. We are excited to be partnering with the PRSA and to have theEMPLOYEEapp serve as the platform for their member app.”
