We at theEMPLOYEEapp sincerely appreciate all the increased interest in and deployment of our mobile employee communications app over the past few months. We realize that it’s no coincidence that we’ve experienced a 748% increase in the use of theEMPLOYEEapp since March — right around the time when stay-at-home orders were issued across the country and organizations were scrambling to find the right tool to help them stay in touch with all their now remote and deskless employees.
For many of our customers, this pandemic continues to disrupt operations and their employees continue to need access to timely information. Whether you’re dealing with layoffs, furloughs, or implementing new policies to keep your frontline workers safe and informed, we know this has been one of the most challenging times ever. We’re proud that theEMPLOYEEapp has helped our clients stay connected to their employees.
Now, we are offering a way for our customers to use theEMPLOYEEapp and make a positive impact on healthcare frontline workers. As you may know, May is National Nurses Month. During the month of May, theEMPLOYEEapp will honor the sacrifices of these dedicated, courageous frontline workers with a donation to the Nurses House COVID-19 Fund, a joint fundraising effort to help nurses nationwide who have been infected with the coronavirus. The Fund covers medical expenses for nurses so they can focus on recovering. And our customers can help determine the size of that donation, simply by using theEMPLOYEEapp. For every message clients post using theEMPLOYEEapp during the month of May, we will donate $1 to the Fund.
Why did we choose the Nurses House COVID-19 Fund? Because we have heard from our own customers about the selflessness of nurses during this pandemic. Nurses are putting their own health at risk simply by doing their jobs. As of April 15, 2020, the CDC reported that more than 9,000 healthcare workers across the nation have become infected with the coronavirus. In New York City alone, more than 900 frontline workers have tested positive for COVID-19. We feel strongly that these workers deserve our support so they can focus on getting well and not worrying about the cost of their treatment.
As a New York-based company, we have seen first-hand the devastation the pandemic has caused in our communities, and the continued devotion nurses have shown to their patients—even at their own risk. Many of APPrise Mobile’s healthcare customers are using theEMPLOYEEapp to send important information to their frontline workers during this ordeal. This cause feels personal to us. This fundraiser is helping the helpers when they need it most, and we’re proud to support it.
We invite our customers, partners, and employees to donate what they can to the Nurses House COVID-19 Fund.
