Our development team has been hard at work advancing theEMPLOYEEapp platform and this week we rolled out Version 8.1. In doing so, our goal continues to be to provide the most current and richest of functionality based on what our customers actually want in an employee mobile communications solution. At the same time, we strive to ensure that the administration and end user experience is as simple and convenient as possible.
With this in mind, Version 8.1 includes the ability to post a new type of content to theEMPLOYEEapp. Up until now, companies could upload pre-existing document, multi-media and image files. Or they could include live web links. Now they have the ability to simply input content into a text box. We refer to this as “free text.” Simply cut and paste from any document or webpage and it instantaneously appears on your employees’ mobile devices.
We also have updated our platform to allow both companies and their employees to decide what they want as the default home screen of their app. It can either be a “Facebook-like” newsfeed in which new content posted to their app appears at the top of the feed. Or they can have an organized folder view of content (some have referred to it as their mobile intranet) making information easily accessible through the small screens of iPhones and Androids.
